Happy 231st Birthday, America!

Hope everyone had a great 4th of July! This was the first year we did not do something Boston/Cape/Maine-ish, so it was a little weird.

In the morning Kev and Cole sat side-by-side with their sippy cups:)

We started the day by going to a parade in nearby Anderson Township (still trying to figure out what a township is!). Cole loved the parade, especially all the big cars and firetrucks!

After the parade we went home to nap, and during that time thunderstorms moved in and we had a tornado watch! This isn't the first time we've had one, but it still freaks me out every time. We went out to dinner and Cole feasted on french fries and ketchup. Not too healthy, but keeps him happy in a restuarant;)

We didn't go out to fireworks since Cole was in bed too early, but we did see enough! This is our first time living in a state where fireworks are legal, and oh my gosh - it was crazy! It was fun having fireworks explode all around us all night, but I was a little scared one would malfunction and burn our house down! A lot of our neighbors set them off, and we could see the "official" Norwood fireworks at the town stadium from our front porch. We also got to watch the Boston fireworks on television - we went to those once in 2001, good times. We had to wait all day staking our spot on the Charles River Esplanade, definitely not something we'd do with a child.

That was fun on the Esplanade, seeing your favorite conductor. You never did become Mrs. Keith Lockhart, but I know you're okay with that now because you've got someone better than him! Yay!
